Serious, but humorous...

I was in school and going on the GI Bill. They announced a program called Work Study, that let a vet work 20 hours a week for minimum wage.
Soooooo, there I was at the Placement Division afternoons. This elderly gentleman comes in in a straw hat and bibs. He tells me he would like to hire a vet in his early-mid fifties to work on his farm. I suggest kindly, that a young man in his twenties might be a better hire. He was insistent about an older guy. I did ask him why and he says "son, I got a forty year old Ford tractor and a twenty year old wife. The last thing I want is a rod throwed in either one of them...".
