I have written of my sad luck of find real experts in their field.

Someone got himself a Wrangle 4 wheel drive car, and wanted to learn to drive in the desert.

He asked for my help, so we arranged to take drive to the desert early one one morning.

I drove to his house, and we both got into his car.

I brought a small cool box with drinks and fresh mangoes.

He said his wife has paced some drinks and snacks for us too.

We got to the desert.

"Let us gt some air out of your tires" I said .

"Do we have to do that?"

"Yes, or we are going to spend all day trying to get unstuck."

"how do we fill the tires up again?"

That stopped me in my tracks.

"Don't you have a compressor?"

"No. I did not know I needed one"

At this, I though I should look in his car.

One large empty water bottle!

"I think we should give up on going into the desert. We will have to walk out if we do. Let us try some of your wife's snacks. Where are they?"

"Oh shit! I forgot the box at home!"

We got the cool box that I brought, had a few mangoes and a drink.

I got my drone out, to see if I can find some camels.

HE said "I have a drone too! I will get it ready".

Got mine in the air, and located a camel caravan over the dunes - photos and videos are on the PHOTO FORUM.

He said something I could not hear, so I asked "need any help?"

"The battery is flat! Hahahaha!"

He started charging his drone by plugging it in his lighter socket.

A bit later, he got enough charge to try it.

He flew it, but it won't go higher than a few meters.

It won't go further than a 100 meters either.

It was set on BEGINNERS mode.

I thought I would leave it that.

We decided to head home.

On they way here, we took an asphalt road, which goes into the desert from the main highway.

We turned off left off this road, so logic would dictate that when we join it again going back, we would need to turn right to go home.

Well, as we got to it, my friend turned left.

"Where are we going?"

"home"

"You better make a u turn, you are going the opposite way!"

heheheh.

maybe you need to print him out a list of stuff he needs before the next trip.

Yep, kinda reminds me of one of my trips to Big Bend. Yes, it is "God's country" but you can get lost for a very LONG time.

Big Bend is one of the most awesome places in the USA! The only place I've seen Wyle E Coyote and Roadrunner at the same time.

Now it seems every little dickhead in America is screaming BLACK LIVES MATTER and the rest of us can go to hell!

Another exciting desert adventure.

Same individual.

He is a cycling enthusiast, and has a big cycle rack on the back of of car.

Several of us went to the desert, had a great time driving around, saw camels, had breakfast.

The kids, some have no drivers license because they are under age, to drive on the road.

But, they could drive in the desert off normal roads.

From where we were, we would need to drive straight up to an asphalt road, turn left for about 1 k, and then take the main road home.

Very simple. Remember this.

We decided to drive off road, so the kids can drive, to a village to our right.

Then we would need to make a U turn and come back on that road to get to the main road to get home.

Remember this.

We got to the village, and we stopped so we can swap drivers.

Our friend had no kids, so he went ahead.

He needed to drive for about 1 k, make a U turn.

When we got to the U turn junction, we saw his cycle rack lying in the middle of the road.

Hessa jumped out and we loaded it in our car.

We knew it was his!!

I called him on the phone.

"Did you loose your cycle rack?"

"What cycle rack?"

"We found a cycle rack lying on the road, and Hessa thinks it is yours"

"Oh SHIT! Mine has GONE! It must be the one you found!"

"OK, slow down a bit, and we will catch up with you and we can give it to you."

"I am not sure where I am. I am on a road that says AL AIN is 96 kilometres"

I could not help it. I burst out laughing!

He did not make a U turn, he continued straight ahead, and to get back home he needs to drive quite a long, long way!

"You bloody nincompoop! You should have made a U turn after you joined the main road! Now you have to drive a long way to have another opportunity for turning!"

He lives about half way to our house from where we were.

We got home, and I called him.

"I am passing a nice little village now. It is called MURGHAM"

"With a bit of luck you might find a turning point further on. We are already home!"

Unfortunately, and on a much more somber note, we had a young 19 year old white female that said that very thing to a group of black "Black Lives Matter" thugs a few days ago. They didn't like her "All Lives Matter" statement, so they ambushed and shot and killed her.

On a lighter note, and in regards to your second story, your friend has to be a relative of Walter's. There's no other logical explanation for it. Ask him to check his DNA! Have the two of them ever been in the same room or car together?!

He is not related to Walter, although it would seem that way.

A few years ago we were in the Maldives together.

My wife got attacked by a titan trigger fish.

They are only aggressive when they have eggs to protect.

The amazing thing is they just make a small dip in the sea floor, about 8 inches across, and lay their eggs right in the open.

If anyone ventures close, they attack him.

They have been know to chop people’s ear off, and I have seen them take small chunks off people’s legs!

Anyway, my wife was screaming her head so I went to investigate, and sure enough our friend the titan fish was having ago at her.

We got out, and I went to get my underwater video camera.

“What are going to do?” My friend asked.

“Come, we will have some fun with that trigger fish. I want to get a video of him attacking me. You take this camera, and you can take pictures”

Off we went.

I said to him “I am going to get him to attack me, and I will video him. You take pictures”

I went ahead and got close, sure enough, two of them started having a go at me!

I kept the video camera between me and them, and never got a bit!

Got a great video.

I swam back, and looked up.

My friends was 50 yards away!

“Did take pictures?”

“Are you kidding? These two were going for you! I ran off!”

“You men you took no pictures??”

“No”

“You bloody WIMP! Give me the camera! I am going to go back and get some pictures!”

“Typical! You’re stark raving MAD!”

I went and got lots of photos!

Sounds like you need to take him along on your September safari. He could bunk and hunt with Walter! NOW, THAT WOULD BE TOP RATINGS!
