A man saw a sign in a yard advertising "Talking Dog For Sale". He summoned the owner who took him to the backyard and pointed to a mutt.
The man asked, "So you're a talking dog? What's your story?"
The dog replied, "Yes, I discovered my ability to talk at an early age, and decided to take advantage of it. I contacted the CIA where I became a spy. I traveled extensively around the world and was placed in close proximity to world leaders and diplomats who were unaware of my abilities, thereby allowing me to overhear sensitive political intrigue and secrets and pass them on to our government. I was one of the CIA's top operatives but the travel and stress began to take a toll. I then went to work for the local airport doing undercover work, often approaching suspicious looking characters to overhear what they were saying. I averted several hijackings and helped apprehend drug smugglers and was awarded a number of medals of commendation. I eventually married, sired several litters of puppies, and I'm essentially retired now."
The man was astounded. He went to the seller.
"How much do you want for this dog?" he anxiously asked.
"$10" the owner answered.
"Why only $10? This animal is incredible!" the man replied.
"He's a damn liar. He didn't do any of that crap!"
