The Devil was well behind on his dirty work and was trying to catch up. He started bouncing around new ideas trying to add to his bag of dirty deeds and malevolent acts. He decided he would interupt a Sunday morning service full of parishoners as this would provide a great number of victims in one fell swoop.

Sure enough the following Sunday he burst into a sanctuary full of worshipers screaming and yelling with a booming voice. He put on a spectacular show with fire and smoke while demons wailed horribly in the background. It scared everyone to death. People were knocking down doors and jumping out of windows trying to escape the sanctuary. The building was quickly emptied as everyone ran for their lives except for one elderly gentleman sitting on the front pew.

This did not sit well with the Devil seeing as how people have always fled in terror from him. He stormed toward the man ranting and raving "DID YOU HEAR ME BOY!? DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM!? AREN'T YOU AFRAID OF ME!?

The man continued to sit quietly on the pew and pay little heed to the Devil's presence.

This was too much for the Devil. He would not tolerate such insolence from a mere mortal. He let out a fantastic tyrade that made the building shake trying to intimidate the man with no effect. It seemed nothing in his power would sway this man. Finally relenting he backed away shocked and confused not knowing what else to do.

Slowly the elderly man looked up at the Devil and said "No I am not afraid of you. I have been married to your sister for 45 years".
