I`M NO LONGER CONFUSED

I became confused when I heard the word "Service" used with these agencies:

Internal Revenue 'Service'

Postal 'Service'

Telephone 'Service'

Cable TV 'Service

Civil 'Service'

Municipal, City, & Public 'Service'

Customer 'Service'

This is not what I thought 'Service' meant.

But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to 'Service' a few cows.

BAM!!! It all came into focus.

Yep, you got it now.
"service" means a screw-job when in the context of the above list.

Tell me about it. I have been on the phone for over one hour waiting to be connected to someone in customer service with Hayward Pool Equipment. Mad

A buddy of mine once was a service man for Monkey Wards in the 60s, appliances, etc. He got to listen in on an irate customers call to the service dept. Seems this woman was super pissed with her washing machine + screamed that he could just shove it up his ass. The service rep in a calm voice was, "Ma'am, I'm afraid I can't do that. I already have a refrigerator there."
