“munt†is a generally derogative version of the African word for (a black) person – muntu

Many years Ago when Zimbabwe-Rhodesia was forming it’s first black cabinet there were a lot of ‘munt’ jokes about each portfolio. Given that Zimbabwe is again trying to form a cabinet, I was trying to remember them all.

Minister of Agriculture - amaize munt
Minister of transport - derail munt
Minister of Finance - Embezzle munt
Minister of roads & works - pave munt
President - State Munt
Vice President - under state munt

Sounds like a lot of govermunts to me.

There was this immigrant in Zim who had a fast food place. Mugabe passed the shop with his motorcade and saw the sign that said: Fast Food Cafeteria. He stopped and instructed the shop owner to take down the sign as it was not a good word to use in his opinion. Next day he went past to see if the owner had complied and saw the new sign: Express Refreshmunts.

In the current US elections it looks like our entitlemunts are winning.
