How does anyone strike and damage six stationary vehicles without having ingested vastly excessive quantities of alcohol?

Most likely she panicked and hit the accellerator thinking it was the brake. It happens all the time, especially amongst older folks. And they don't understand that there is no way an engine can overcome the brakes unless they are defective, and they will swear to the end they were standing on the brake pedal!
