Everyone seems to be in such a hurry to scream 'prejudice' these days...

A customer asked, "In what aisle can I find the Polish sausage?"

The clerk asks, "Are you Polish?"

The guy, clearly offended, says, "Yes I am. But let me ask you something.

If I had asked for Italian sausage, would you ask me if I was Italian?

Or if I had asked for German Bratwurst, would you ask me if I was German?

Or if I asked for a kosher hot dog would you ask me if I was Jewish?

Or if I had asked for a Taco, would you ask if I was Mexican?

Or if I asked for some Whiskey, would you ask if I was Irish?"

The clerk says, "No, I probably wouldn't."

The guy says, "Well then, because I asked for Polish sausage,

why did you ask me if I'm Polish?"

The clerk replied, "Because you're in Ace Hardware." shocker rotflmo

not even funny.
our Ace hardware is directly connected [no wall in between them] to our local grocery store.
several of the ACE employee's are former grocery store workers/managers and know the grocery store better than the current employee's do.

even better a typical answer to where are the polish sausages could very well be "wander over and ask my brother" seeing as how one brother runs the butcher shop in the grocery store, and one brother is the assistant manager at the ACE.
[the ACE guy is the former produce manager BTW]

O.K.! Right off the top;there is no racsism here! But one must confess that ALL stereotypes of any race started with at least a minimum of truth.I won't go into details as we all already know them + there is no point putting into print that which would offend .others. I'm a "Kraut" + I have no problem with that. These NEW thin skinned kids (ala PC) are going to be the death of reason!

the word stereotypical just points towards a pre-disposition towards certain actions.

you ever seen an Italian not wave his arms around a little when having a conversation?
there ya go.
