Any idea what species that first one was?
The 1st two fish were Queenfish.
The last one is a spotted hind from the grouper family...

So we caught some bait....
and it was not a 100 years and I had a Dorado on the line....
I caught 2 and lost (short line release) another two.

To me that means they are either fantastic to eat or absolutely horrible. From the website it appears they are very much desired as food fish. That's a BONUS! Fish that are fun to catch and good to eat are as good as it gets.
Bet they would jump all over one of these.

Thanks, now I see they are members of the Jack/Pompano family.

They are fantastic fighters.
I had one jumping twice to eye level while fighting.
But they can not compare to the Dorado when it comes to eating. So we catch and release them.
One a good day we will average 10 Dorado between 2 guys but I only take one home and the rest go back until next time....
