The manmade lake is as stocked as they come (has large oxygen pumps) with mekong catfish and a host of other exotic fish.

Its all catch and release.

The mekong catfish are the equivalent of yellowfin tuna - average size - 45-55 pounds. Fight as hard as tuna and the gear is same as tuna gear.

After 8-10 fish I was done. Told the local guide if we hook anymore fish he is reeling them in. He decided with me to spend the rest of the day drinking beers. Took around 20 cast to catch 10 fish.

Good experience around $125 all in without the beers.
