Lawrence Bay Lodge on Reindeer lake in northern Saskatchewan, Canada

They have quality equipment, nice cabins, good food and lots of fish.

My biggest for the trip was 44" but our group caught 26 fish over 40" in 5 days of fishing.

All done we totaled 1,827 fish - about one per minute for the 6 person party.

This hole at the bottom of the rapids held a lot of big pike and a few walleyes.

A beaver mansion also sheltered some big pike around the edges.

A standard shore lunch of fresh fish, baked beans, potatoes with onions fried with them and pears for desert.

If only I could transport this rock formation to my back yard!

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Allen, those are great photos and it looks like you had a great trip.

Are we still on for August Current River Smallmouth?

I have been getting some decent ones on crank baits and the pike bite is always there, in creek mouths.

Regards, Ted
