Went to the beach this past week.

Because of a sick family member, we couldn't take the boat this trip and I was only able to join my family for part of the week.

I booked a trip through Mo Shaver of Mo Fishin with Capt Wade for sharks and if time permitted, specs. My son and I went. We brought two 80-100 lbs blacktip sharks to the side of the boat for pictures.

By now, it was dark and we went into the bay to try our luck under the lights for specs. We boated five fish. The excitement of the night was when my son landed a 25 inch spec that was pushing six pounds!!!!

Capt Wade is a nice guy, easy to talk too, was patient with my son , and an all around good guy.

I would charter with him and fish with him anytime.

The next day, I landed a couple of 2-3# specs off the beach at Ft Morgan by throwing spoons between the sandbars. Talking to a guy on the beach, on 6/2, he and his son landed about a dozen specs in the 2-5# range and 8-10 slot reds in about 3 hours that afternoon.
