We have not hooked a marlin yet. Yesterday some nice fish were hung up. Tournament last all week. Michael Jordon was in first place in the meat category but got bumped down. He also caught two blue marlins. He is as good on the water as he is on the court.

MERCENARIA brought in the first blue marlin weigh-in at 572.6lbs. Earning them the prestigious Fabulous Fisherman title and $777,750! If that fish holds on to 1st place throughout the week, the crew could walk away with $3,489,813— An industry record payout!

I just read where that’s exactly what happened. Mercenaria won a total of $3,489,000. And I bet they won some more in the calcuttas.

We had a good week and finished the week releasing some marlins. Teams from all over the world in town and this year had the largest payout in the history of the industry.
