DRGWelcome to our new home
There is a lot of work left to do but we wanted to get the board back on as soon as we could so bear with us while will all live with our work in progress.
Some basic facts.
1. We were unable to import the passwords. They are stored in our old board encrypted (even I couldn't read them) so they came over in a form the new board couldn't read.
2. PMs are now like posts, so we were unable to be imported. You can find your old PMs on the old forum which will remain up for 30 days.
3. Display preferences were also lost due to problems in different formats.
4. Play with the settings, buttons, etc and enjoy the new features of our boards. We have a lot of fine tuning to due but we know you will like our new site.
5. The reason we moved was because of the ability to Archive old posts (they will still be accessable). This will happen on Thursday to every post older than 1 year.
6. We will opening up the chat rooms for specific topics later this week, we just haven't decided on the topics yet.
Don and Saeed.

THere is no way to move the old PMs to this board, unless you copy and paste them in windows and send yourself a PM.

cobraHi Don, looks like a lot of work over the weekend, good job. Any tips for setting signature images and avatars. I tried already but I must've made a mistook.

ForrestBDon, it looks like we lost some posts in the transition. Is there anyway for you to grab them?

Per se, no. But if there is a whole category you don't wish to see you can click on the ICON to the left of the Category Name, and collapse the forum names under it.

Not that I am aware of. The forum counts were identical. Which ones are you missing?

Under avatar...there is a custom setting on the top of the page to the right. That lets you put in a url.
When setting the signature image do:
<img src="URL">
That SHOULD work, or I may have to work on the settings a little more.

Don,
Here's an example:
https://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=518103&f=8711043&m=518100851There were more posts between the 15th and the 28th of Dec (I remember reading this particular post a couple of times), now it only has 3 posts in it. I doubt there is a way to recapture those lost posts, but there are definitely some missing in there.

LDHunterDon,
Is it possible to invidually set the number of posts displayed per page?
The current default seems like too few.
I'd like to see 25 or so if it can only be set globally.
Thanks and keep up the
good work.

Thanks for the expense and effort to keep this fine forum up to speed.
The only problem I see is that nasty political forum made the trip also.
I was hoping it would be lost in translation and those horrible people would go somewhere else.

SteveDon,
Thanks a bunch!
Did notice one problem. I started a thread on meeting at
SCI . The thread is there, but my original post is now on page 2 of that thread. Not that it means much to me, but it might have happend to others and is a bit confusing.
Thanks again to both you and Saeed!

T.CarrThis is for those who are having trouble logging on, like I was.
Log on as an "existing member" with your normal log in name and select the "lost password"
A new window will open (it may not work and give you an error message in the new window) as it did for me several times.
Keep trying the "lost password" until the new window asks for your email address and you will get a new Password emailed to you.
Remember to use your old AR name and try logging in as "an existing member" click the "lost password". Don't log in under a new name.

Terry

But the category doesn't even stay collapsed when you go into some other forum, read a post or two, and click the "back" button.
This is a problem for those of us who only ever read 3 or 4 of the forums.
