As of this morning we have 18 monarch chrysalis. Have planted lots of milkweed to encourage them.

The caterpillar, the chrysalis, the butterfly:

Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing. My wife has planted native vegetation all around our house to attract them. A good lesson for my grand daughter on how habit is key for the survival of all wild creatures.

Take good care of your Monarchs. Here in Oregon we haven't seen any. It seems the fires in Northern Calif. may have created a barrier. My wife is the Butterfly steward at our local butterfly pavillion and has been anxiously looking for reports of sightings. So far only one reported sighting near the Oregon/Calif. border.
