First photo is a white face capuchin; this rascal and his group followed us through the forest, from treetop to treetop. This is in La Selva Biological Preserve, incredible place! This particular capuchin would jump up and down on the smaller limbs in order to break the limbs and bombard our group below The second photo is a poison dart frog, named for the fact the frog secrets a poison slime which the natives use on their darts or arrow tips - this substance is a strong neurotoxin which temporarily paralyzes the animal that is shot with the dart / arrow, often monkeys or pigs in the forest. This frog is difficult to find as it is smaller than a human thumb but once you spot them they are easy to find due to the bright coloration. | ||
