Not exactly what I had in mind by "applications! I meant like Shazam, Simple GPS, Trailguru (which are a couple of apps I like). Here's a video demo on the Shazam iPhone App.

I use trailguru to keep track of my daily walks. I also like yelp. Nice way to find a restaurant or the like in a area your not familiar with. Also use midori to help me find songs that are on the radio, but it's ability to make correct hits is around 50%. All of these are freeware, BTW. [P.S. Shazam looks to be similar to Midori. I'll have to download it and see if it works better.] -------- www.zonedar.com If you can't be a good example, be a horrible warning DRSS C&H 475 NE --------

Steve, I've had about 95% accuracy with Shazam. It's got to be a recorded song (not live) and it can't be TOO OBSCURE. It's pretty damn good.... and I believe it's FREE! Now...... if they could make an iPhone that could work off satellites so you could send and receive almost anywhere........that would be cool! PS - And Blue Tooth (wireless) access to my iTunes library!

Just downloaded Harmonica over the weekend. It's a hoot. Freeks everyone out when you start playing your iphone like a mouth harp. -------- www.zonedar.com If you can't be a good example, be a horrible warning DRSS C&H 475 NE --------

Looked at it, but didn't download it as it had mixed reviews. How's it's accuracy been for you? -------- www.zonedar.com If you can't be a good example, be a horrible warning DRSS C&H 475 NE --------

Another favorite application of mine is to use my iPhone as an iPod. But I can't get my iTunes music library on it. I have WAY too much music (15GB)!

Pandora and Isnipe although it's not really that versatile it has been spot on to 1050 yards. I don't know how it would do with high elevations though. Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too! Recent college grad, started a company called MK Machining where I'm developing a bullpup rifle chassis system.

Add "Ballistic" to the mix, matches JBM calculations and has much more "stuff" than Isnipe. Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too! Recent college grad, started a company called MK Machining where I'm developing a bullpup rifle chassis system.

Interactive Ballistics: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sci...-for-iPod-touch.html Haven't downloaded it yet. Have been enjoying Pandora. Nice at the gym. -------- www.zonedar.com If you can't be a good example, be a horrible warning DRSS C&H 475 NE --------

I like "Ballistic" in spite of a few quirks which should be an easy fix for the developer. "Greed Free" is a fun little puzzle game if you want to spend your downtime on a thinking man's game. This game was developed by a programmer at our company so I'm biased but my kids like it and they're certainly not. I've used an HP12C financial calculator for over 25 years. They're still one of the most popular multi-function financial calculators and retail for about $60. There's an iPod app called 12C that exactly mimics the layout and function of the real calculator and costs $4.99. It's pretty cool. ______________________________ "Truth is the daughter of time."
