For some time now peregrine falcon pairs have taken each of the Hudson River Bridges as their home ! Our new bridge on the Upper Delaware River is just a roadway , no more trusses like the older one was ! No home for the falcons , and there are plenty of pigeons there !
I just happened to catch them feeding. There are four chicks now. I didn't see the youngest get fed. It is definitely survival of the fittest. The first to hatch is the biggest.
