Found this on the web. Don't think it's a trained/hunting bird, but an awesome shot just the same. The face on the rodent is pretty grim, but in a funny kind of way, I thought. So, anyone have any captions to offer? ______________________ Hunting: I'd kill to participate.

Great photo! This is an immature red-tailed hawk. An immature redtail will have a barred tail which is longer than the shorter red tail of the adult or "passage" bird. I hunted a red-tail for the last 7 years here in S.C. and they are truly remarkable animals. When rats and mice are caught the head usually goes first. This is obviously not a falconer's bird for the lack of bracelets and flight jesses. Beautiful picture!
