In the past year of so I've heard so much about the bad quality of "american" made firearms. Remington and Winchester top the list. I've had two winchesters and two remingtons in the past two years. For the money I spent trading around and so forth, i could have had a nice sig sauer rifle. Man that sucks, I'd call win guns and tell them they're paying for the shipping, well, wait until the rifle comes back... maybe they'll surprise you, if they don't do anything miraculous, complain until they foot the postage.. it was their mistake not yours. i bought a winchester coyote in 223 and went out to shoot it and the chamber was so rough that there was brass filled through out the chamber,i noticed that the crown was nicked badly the barreled action wasnt even straight in the stock i complained a whole lot to winchester and they sent a prepaid box to my house.after that i went out to shoot with some fireform loads and i was getting about 3/4 in 5 shot groups

These comments seem to mirror my experience with Wichester (USRAC) rifles. Even the so called classic (pre-64 action) models have very rough actions and poor fit and finish. Remington products have also gone downhill. Not a great situation, especially considering how much they cost now a days.
