I see chamber reamers for $129 and also full length die reamers for the same price.

My question.....is all one has to do is run 6mm Rem cases through the full length die? Can I use a 6mm rem headspace gauge for the chamber and full length die? I'm assuming that the .224 TTH is close to (if not exactly) the same as a 22-6mm.

Any help is appreciated.

224 TTH is the 22-6mm. Just run 6mm brass through a sizing die and you are gtg, no fire forming.

Not sure about the gunsmithing part.

Well the TTH and 6mm body shoulder point is the same. However the angle is different. So I would "assume" they headspace is different.

www.reamerrentals.com has a set of 224TTH gauges for rent for $7

As usual just my $.02

Thanks for the link Ramrod.....I just searched way too much and the more I searched the more confused I got.....seems the standard 22-6mm makes more sense even though the differences are very small.

Hornady. Redding, and RCBS all make reloading die sets for the 22-6mm and readily available from Midway. IMO this is what the .220 Swift should have been all the time.

OK before you bite. Ammoguide showed the different should angle. However looking at https://4drentals.com/ They show the same shoulder angle as the 6mm. So much for internet info.

Precisely.....exactly the findings for my surfing.

My only confidence is to use chamber reamers and dies labeled the same.....and more so labeled 22-6mm....both cartridges offer more than enough boiler room.

I am interested in following your work. I have always thought this was a neat cartridge.

I have a 22-6mm Rem Ackley Improved reamer sitting in my shop I picked up reasonable years ago. I never chambered a barrel for it as I couldn't find the same kind of deal for a set of dies.
