I know 3 deer don't make a whole lot of stats but that's how many I've shot with my .260. Using 140 corelokt bullets. I had several different bullets to try but among my first tries with the 140's, I found a load that gave me slightly over 2600fps (yes Virginia, a bullet doesn't have to be going over 3000fps to kill a deer) and slighty under 1 moa. I called that happy and went hunting.
2 of the deer died in their tracks and the other made one bound and collapsed as it hit the ground. Oh, the longest shot was 250 yards.
