I didn't have very good luck with the 100gr. BT in my rifle. Alot of people have very good luck with that bullet but I just couldn't get it to shoot well. I know there are alot of shooters that will swear by that bullet for antelope and deer. I tried IMR-4350, H-4831 and RL-19. That was all of the suitable powders I had available but I'm sure others will have more suggestions. I have settled for the new Hornady 117gr. SST and RL-22 for my pet load for now but I am always willing to try something new so if you find a load that works, please report. if anyone has tried the 100gr. Hornady SP in 257 AI I would love to hear your thoughts on this combo! Elk Country

Jigger: While I haven't done any work with the 100 gr. Bal. Tip in my .257 Imp., I have found my most accurate load so far to be with the Horn. 75 gr. V-max. The load is with 46.4 grs. of IMR-4895 with the bullets seated about 0.010" off the lands. I've gotten 0.38" groups with this combination for 5 shots. I have tried the 87 gr. Bal.Tip but accuracy was a bit less, at about .6" or so as I recall using 45.9 grs. of IMR-4895. I'd suggest you start with the accurate load listed in the Sierra manual and go from there. I've found that the Sierra manual is usually pretty close with it's Accurate Powder charge data. Once I find the most accurate charge, I start to play with seating depth measured to the ogive. For your 100 gr. bullet, I'd start with42.9 grs. of IMR-4895 which is the accurate load in the Sierra Manual. Bear in Fairbanks

I haven't found a load that works well in my rifle with the 100grain BT. The 115gr are wonderful with H-4895.

Try 53 gr of Reloader 22 or 50 gr of IMR 4350. I think you will like it. These are max loads, so work up to them. Dale
