I built a 22/6mm on a Rem 700,using a 24 inch 1:7 shilen barrel,Tubb recoil lug. I used a pillar bedded mcmillan stock and Jewell trigger. I did all the gunsmithing myself. Using 45 grs of Rl-22 and 80 gr. Bergers it shoots 5 shot .2 inch groups at 100 yrd and < 1 inch groups out to 250 yrds or so. Velocity approx. 3600fps. Excellent cartridge although if I had the reamer I would have liked to have built a improved version. However, the gun shoots so well I have not the courage to pull the barrel and rechamber it.-Rob | |||
