Skinner, I would guess this is a "very old" rifle.

Beware of making any modifications on this rifle to make it shoot .22LR. This rifle is surely more collectable with it's original .22 Long chambering.

What make/model of rifle is this?

I have a box of CB Long that is the (Cats Meow) on small varmints in the neighborhood.
