I've been shooting the 62 and 70 grain TSX in my 223/5.56 rifles now for about 5 years and will never go back to the lighter bullets for game (deer, hogs and coyotes). Any how, I recently purchased a bunch of 5.56 Optimized, "brown tip", military loads which are a factory loaded 70gr TSX. The accuracy is outstanding, sub 1/2 moa in (3) different rifles. Velocities were also good, 2800fps out of a 16" bbl. The ammo wasn't cheap, 1.40/round, but it is nice to know I never have to reload for any of my fast twist guns EVER again. Silver State Armory has a knock-off of it but this is the real stuff and I really like it. Perry

My brother will be loading up some 70 gr TSX's for this fall, his old lady might want to blast a deer and she's not big on recoil. The 70 gr TSX and his new Savage in .223 is just what the Dr. ordered!

I have worked up some 70 grain TSXs for my Savage FVSS and got 1/2 inch groups at just over 3000 FPS. I fully intend to shoot Bambi with that one this fall and I fully expect That it will work as well as every other TSX/TTSX that I have tried. The one thing I don't expect is to recover one. Ever.

The 75 grain A-Max in a 26"/1:8 Contender barrel turns the .223 into a more authoritative coyote round and makes it quite effective to 300 yards. In my experience, the lighter pills in the .223 become marginal on 'yotes once you surpass the 200 yard mark.
