I am interested in turning my 223 to 223 AI down the road. HOw much more fps can be expected with a 55 grain bullet? Can some of you guys post some results? Suggestions?

I've got two of them, both have 1/14 twist Hart barrels. I've never fired a 55 gr bullet in either but use 50 gr bullets and the velocity is 3556fps and in my factory 223 with the same bullet the velocity is 3402fps. I like the 223AI over the 223. Well good luck!

Varmint AL has a nice section on a similar cartridge, I think it was called the 23/40. Basically, it is a 40 degree shouldered 223 with straightened walls.
