Started breaking in my new Lilja barreled 6x284 today. Iran some jb bore paste through it and cleaned that out w/ some Kroil. Then loaded up a case w/ 54 gr. Rl 22 and WLR primer. Didn't chronograph it but I had some primer flatenning w/ a 107 gr matchking(uncoated). I was trying to get an idea how hot I could go. I'll try 55 gr tomorrow. After about 10 shots (cleaning after each one) I'll start load testing w./ the chronograph. I'd like 3500-3600 fps w/ the 107 grainers(30" barrel). Any load data that you've tried and like would be appreciated.

I have had a 26" 6mm/.284 with Douglas Premium Grade barrel since 1964. This gun has alwyas fired groups of about .3" (five-shot) with the 100 grain Sierra and 53.5 grains of H4831. However, this load only chronographs barely 3400 FPS. I tried the 105 Speer in it, and it never shot these well at all. But it does OK with the Sierra 85 grain HPBT which with 57 grans of MRP will do over 3500 FPS. (Have gone as high as 3650, but accuracy dropped off to about 1 MOA.)
