I know Parker Hale made mounts[alloy] for them and they have an ODD 19 mm wide dovetail ,can anyone help me with advice on scope mounts for it [apart from PH mts]would rather steel, and if any manufacturer made them in past Thanks for any advice in advance Cheers

I guess Hillver too? But now other than long established gunshops down there in Oz where else? If you join the British thestalkingdirectory.co.uk there are some guys there who will be able to say if the Hunter was profiled to an American profile. That is the BSA CF series were profiled to the same as Remington 700 receiver...front and back...but don't know about the Hunter. Or try an e-mail to John Knibbs near Birmingham in England. Google him as Knibbs BSA Spares and you'll get his co-ordinates.

Millet CZ (Brno) rings will fit, other CZ brands will too but you'll have to grind or cut the locking tab off. Congrats on a nice find.

Hi! Congratulations on a SCORE! The Mauser style action is the old "Royal" one I believe. I have seceral including a 222 and also a 22 Hornet and a beauty 7mm Mauser with the classic opposed dbl set triggers same as th Hornet [triggers]. The Millet is the closes you can come and make fit with a good file. As Herters used the U-9 actions for some of their rifles way back when occasionally you see the Herters rings for sale on ERipoff and other sites easily identified by the little stud on the bottom of one ring. I am sure one of our Aussie on Canuk members can also get you a set easily as there are still a lot of Beezers in their areas. You got a beauty--take care of it.
