Anyone have any experience with one of these yet? Looks like a great gun for my kid. I've settled into getting something for him in .257 Roberts or 7mm-08 Rem. My son is 9 now and a little on the small side, I wanna try to get something that's not too hard for him to handle.
I have the larger Steyr in 7mm RM and it is well made, functional and accurate. I am a big fan of the 7'08 for youngsters. Also the way they have the removable spacers on the butt are very useful for growing boys or girls.Nine may be a little young, however. I was started on BB guns at 10 and given my first .22(single shot) at age 12.But that is for you to decide. Going back to the physical dimension part of the equation, you may have better luck trying to find a cut down rifle at a gun show that a child has outgrown. One of my daughters is very small and I had to have a stock cut way back beyond any factory size that I am aware of.Hope this helps, Russ
