I bit the bullet and bought a discontinued Browning Varmint Stalker in this....

Wondering who's had success with this cartridge...and what loads work for it?

I have a Rebarreled Winchester 70 223 WSSM with Chrome Moly Fluted Pac-Nor Super Match Barrel. It will shoot under .25 MOA @ 100 yd. a 40 grain V-Max, using 46 grains of Varget. Average velocity of 5 shots is 4406 fps.

My son has an A-bolt in 223wssm. His current coyote load is a 60gr Vmax over RL19. It shoots sub-moa at 3700+fps.

He achieved 4050fps (and excellent accuracy) with a starting load of imr4895.

The Browning was an easy rifle to find good loads for.
