Hello, Iam planing to buy a Sauer Jaktmatch in cal 223. Will use the rifle for competition shooting, want to use 69grs Scenar bullet Sauer Jaktmatch comes with a 67cm long barrel with 1-10", have look into some produsers of bullets info pages and a barrel with 1-10" is on the limit to handle a 69grs bullet? I do know many people use 223 for long range in US,is there anybody with experience using 69grs bullet in a 1-10" barrel? Dillon

I don't know if this will help but I use 65's in a 1 in 9" barrel. No problems at all. You maybe on the limit for a long slender 69. You may also have to make sure velocity is kept high. Only way to find out is to try some.

On the sierra 69gr match it says 7 to 10 twist, but you will have to give them a try to find out if your gun will shoot them. In my savage with a 1:9 I can shoot the 75 gr hornady match and a-max.

Most 1 in 10 twists I have ever seen will stabilize them just fine... however if your rifle has a problem with them, try the 69 grain HP Hornady.. not only is it a little cheaper, but it is just as accurate as the Sierra in anything I have ever used it in, and actually a little more accurate in a couple of rifles... it is a highly overlooked bullet, that's for sure!
