I shoot a 6.5x47 a lot and like it quite a bit. I think there is a problem with vertical at about 700-1000 yards.

I bought a new 6x57 Swiss match reamer cheap and was thinking about trying it. Well I didn't do any research on it before I bought it.

Can I make these things out of 22-250 cases?

Doesn't seem to be a lot of information on the cartridge in America.

To me size wise it is similar to the 22-250 in size and shape.

I know my 6.5x47 uses small rifle primers and the 6x47 Swiss Match uses large primers. So that's why I thought 22-250 cases would be best.

6x47 Swiss Match

Check the link.

For such a potentially accurate calibre I'd use the real thing.

Thanks, I have looked at that before. His links are dead.

Johannsens of Mauser fame sells brass for the cartridge, so I could get it imported.

It's not going to be a rifle that leaves the USA so properly stamped ammunition isn't a big deal.

Hopefully I can make it out of 22-250 with a form die.

Just a thought. Have you tried Huntingtons for brass?

He doesn't have any. I have imported brass from Treibel and Johannson's before.
