Hi guys I am new here but I have read a lot, lots of good stuff on here. I recently purchased a howa 1500 22-250 I have a tasco varmiter scope I think 6-24x50 the scope works flawless on my 223 but on the 250 it will not sight in.
I can get like 2 or 3 shots in the bulls eye let it cool down for 30 min and then the bullets will be like 12" off. I don't know if the little bit more recoil is making the scope get knocked off or what I am baffled. I load my own and have never had a problem befor the bullets are 55gn nos bt don't have the charge off hand but am using vvn 135 and the gun has a 26" bbl.

Make sure the scope is mounted with the correct screws properly tightend. No torque on the scope or mounts. Check the rifle screws and and bedding for problems. Correct as you find them.
