I have used the 65 gr Vmax on coyotes with good success. It is also the second most accurate bullet I have tried out of my 6mm rem. Nothing but good things to say about it.

I have never taken the dive for the 75 grain V max.... because I have loaded zillions of 75 grain Hornady HPs.... Of the tons of varmint bullets in 6mm, my first pick is always the 75 grain Hornady HP.... because I fail to see where any other bullet in that size, or close to it, can beat it! It is accurate, explosive on small stuff, yet I have taken a few antelope sized deer with it, wasted a few coyotes with it... and shot tons of small little groups in targets with it.. and have seen it perform with MVs from 2000 fps all the way up to 3750 fps.....in a fast twist rifle... and it is cheaper than most of the other more trendy options... If ya think ya need the plastic tips to look pretty, then I am sure it won't hurt... But as for the seafire gang, the 75 HP hornady, wins the choice hands down! I don't even buy Speers, or Sierra 75 grain HPs, because Hornady's does so well!

I have had great success with the 75 gr V max. My M70 Coyote shoots .75 moa at 100yrds with 39.5grs of 4895. Ive taken deer, coyote, and groundhogs. Deer and coyotes no exit. Groundhogs, all I can say is very explosive

My 13 yr old son has been shooting them for the past month or so. Very accurate. .75" @100yrds when loaded on top of 38 grn of Varget out of a 22" barreled M70. They buck the wind well. Much better than the 60 grn Sierra Hp's he was shooting. He wanted the 65grn Vmax's but all I could get at the time was 75gr and he's glad I got them. Tim

Seafire- what's your 75g Hornady load? I got a customized/tricked out Rem.722 6mm. Montana gopher season is not that far off.

I have also shot many rounds of the Hornaday75 gr hollow point and agree with the preceding comments. Rarely will it exit a coyote. My load was I believe 48 grains of imr-4350 out of the 6mm rem.

I've been working up loads with them in my .243 w/ Varget and H 4350, but don't have them dialed in yet. I figure they should do the trick on coyotes and wolves __________________________________________________ The AR series of rounds, ridding the world of 7mm rem mags, one gun at a time.

For the longer shots at prairie dogs out here on the prairie when the wind picks up, I put down the .223 and pick up a .243 loaded with the 75gr V-Max's. Its accurate and explodes the dogs. .395 Family Member DRSS, po' boy member Political correctness is nothing but liberal enforced censorship
