Anyone have any experience with the Hornady 22 cal 55 gr GMX in the 223? I'm a bit concerned about the bullet opening up on these whitetail we have in southern Arkansas. Another concern is that because the 22 cal GMX bullets are so small in diameter that they have no plastic tip to help start expansion. They are like the old Barnes x bullet which sometimes suffered from that problem. occasionally they would cave in on themselves rather than opening up so they went to the TTSX to help alleviate that issue.

The Nosler 60 gr partition is my go to bullet. I know they work.

I usually hunt deer with a 338/06 or 375 JDJ. Wanted to try something on the other end of the spectrum. Big Grin The Noslers work just fine. I'm just courious about the GMX.
