I plan to purchase a Tikka T3 Hunter in .223.
On the Tikka T3 dedicated site, Tikka only mention the Hunter and varmint, lite versions etc

I went to the Sako site. They listed the following Tikka T3? models of interest: Tikka Master Deluxe,Tikka Master, Tikka Master Pro and Tikka Master Continental.

These seemed upmarket version of the Tikka T3, in the same way that Sako have the Hunter 75 and the Deluxe at additional cost.

I would be grateful if readers could fill me in on the model differentiations and the price differences. Although US prices will differ to Australia ( where I live), they will provide an indicative guide.
Many thanks.

Hello, Try going to the Beretta Site and look up Tikka Rifles. I beleive the T3 are all they produce now but still have different versions. Berretta's site list each version and gives details to each gun. I have a Tikka T3 SS Lite in 25:06 and love it, would like T3 in .223 but not crazy for the 8" twist, I like 12" or 14" twist for lighter bullets.

Some of the Tikka models you have mentioned eg Tikka Master Continental are actually the model before the T3, the M595/695

Check out the T3 at http://www.tikka.fi/

Thanks for the feeback. However the models that I listed still appear to be current, I found them by going to Tikka via the Sako front page.
If they are no longer made, then I am a little confused as to why the Tikkas mentioned by me, are not only listed, but pictures are on the website in just the same way as the Tikka T3 Hunter, Lite, Varmint etc?

Robert,

As best I can tell, Beretta doesn't import
M695/M595 rifles to the USA any more. They do
show them on the Finland based Tikka website,
but if you go to the Beretta USA website, there is
no mention the "Master" series. I am guessing
that they are still made, and only sold in
markets other than the USA. About the only
reason I can come up with for this decision,
is the Tikka M695/M595 must have been
cutting into other Beretta rifle sales, here in
the USA. I would love to find a way to get a
new M595, SS/Laminate in .243 Win, and
to get a M695 SS/Laminate in .338 Win.
I was thinking a vacation in Finland, buy
a couple of rifles, and send them back, but
my wife would rather go to Mexico Roll Eyes

I have both a M695, and a T-3. They both
shoot with exceptional accuracy, are smooth
cycling, and have great triggers. But the
"M" series are built like tanks. They feel,
to me, like a poor man's Sako, and they
shoot just as well as a Sako. The T-3 is
lightened up, and they closed off the top of
the ejection port, to stiffen the lighter action.
It is a nice rifle, and since the "M" series
isn't available here, except in the resale market,
I will probably by another T-3 someday.
I do watch for "M" series on the resale
market, but as of yet, a rifle for sale, and my
having the cash, have not come together.

If I were you, and you can get the "Master"
series, BUY IT.
