It looks fine, but why did you photograph it in a mirror? Actually, in spite of your infirmity, it looks like a decent rifle. I'm a CZ / BRNO, though, so I have to pretend disdain. Y'know, every time I pretend disdain for Finnish weapons, I have to think about them in WWII - talk about a rock and a hard place ... -- Promise me, when I die, don't let my wife sell my guns for what I told I her I paid for them.

That's terrible!! A light and handy little 6.5!... I,m just grateful there's none of those for sale around here, might find myself in a bit of trouble tryna 'splain to the Missus how a 'nother gun just showed up... On a side note, spent a winter in Saskatoon back in the early 90s, neat place, I thought..

I wish they would import them to the US.

This model Tikka is extremely popular here in NZ where they are readily available in a good range of calibers. Very accurate out of the box with an extremely good adjustable trigger, already factory adjusted at about 2lb (here in NZ at least). The ambidextrous stock is also well shaped with no cheek piece and is deeply scolloped on both sides at the rear of the pistol grip for the heel of the hand to sit into. Only issue with them is the 3 round single stack magazine, 5 round magazines are available but also being single stack they hang out the bottom of the rifle, also in most cartridge chamberings they are difficult if not impossible to throw a round on top of an empty magazine and get it to feed into chamber. My nephew almost lost the magazine from his Tikka when high in the Alps tahr shooting. Somehow he accidentally released the magazine after he had got over to an animal he had just shot. Although he hadn't realised what had happened he did by chance spot the magazine lying half buried in the snow while he was packing up the head and skin of the animal. A spare would be essential on a pack in or fly in hunt.

Looks like Tikka have even reversed the calibre markings - the righties I have seen had the markings on the left. That's thorough !!

I do believe you can get the .260 Remington here as my younger brother was trying to get one from a dealer prior to his son's birthday. They couldn't guarantee the delivery so he ended up with the 7mm-08 which isn't so bad either. However with that said the 260 Rem is not the 6.5X55. I have a Full Stocked CZ 550 in 6.5X55 and would love to have a left handed rifle chambered in it as well.

"Plastic Fantastic" aka my "tupperware gun" A T3 Stainless light in 300 Win Mag ! The thing is uncanny scary accurate !!!!! Bought it as a package with a Burris 3-9 scope, the whole lot including the bag some 600 dollars and cents. It's my go to Moose gun ! I simply cannot ignore it because it's so accurate !

I have a T3 Lite in 6.5x55. It is wonderfully accurate and has killed Mule deer and black bear quite nicely. The only bullets I cannot get to shoot extremely well are 120gr TTSX and (so far) 120gr GMX. I am still playing with the GMX's and H4350, hoping that some OAL changes will help.

I have the same rifle in a RH 7mm-08. I have a number of rifles and this is my most accurate and a real pleasure to shoulder and shoot. I would buy another T3 without hesitation. Start young, hunt hard, and enjoy God's bounty.

I always see the hub bub about lefties in 260 & 6.5x55. I have both, the 260 was bought while waiting for a 6.5x55 to arrive. The T3 Hunter in the Swede is here now and the 260 ((NIB) is on consignment at my LGS for a very reasonable price. Brought it over there after months of farting around on web sites trying to sell it for $150 off internet prices at several web locations. A lot of squawk and talk, very little walk. BTW, the Swede now rests in a Manners ultralight stock and will get a little more paint on it this spring. That one is a keeper! ______________________ Guns are like parachutes.
