I love oryx and elk,but the BEST wild game I have eaten is Mountian lion pork chops.you won't believe it till you try it!! I was at a fund raiser in Membres N.M. For a 4-h group and was dared to try it! There were 4chops available and I ate all4.

By far a 3 year old Bull Moose!

The worst was a Snowshoe rabbit. I can still taste the spruce!

For me it is a toss up between Ptarmigan tenders over an open fire at Lake Iliamna Alaska while on a Caribou hunt or Kongoni Steak while on a Buffalo hunt in the Selous of Tanzania. As I say that I think of many meals of Elk-Moose-Caribou-Bison-Cape Buffalo-Halibut that are trully memorable. Good shooting.

Fox.....

fixed by a Green Beret and a demonstration for Dignitaries in 1967 At Ft Bragg...

each GB had fixed a dish of something.. you tried it and then once you did, they'd tell you what it was...

it was to show how many different things that a soldier could live on 'behind enemy lines'...

The bull moose I shot last fall in Newfoundland. It was 3 1/2 yrs. old. The best 401 lbs. of meat I ever harvested. Better than a young melt in your mouth whitetail. My wife dislikes deer meat but loves the moose meat. I may get the okay for another moose hunting trip.
