I run 55 grain V-Max's backed by H322 out of my 26" barreled Rem VLS without any complaints. In fact, the 55's get better accuracy than the 50's do.

I've run both 50 and 55 Vmaxs through my VS(12 twist) with RE10x And Benchmark, 20.5 and 22.5grs., respectively,(55 Vmax), 10 shot groups @200yds are 1.25-1.50MOA. Jay

My 700 VS Composite has a 26" brl. and 1 in 12" twist. I don't reload so I just tried a dozen or so factory loads at 200 yrd.s and it shot pretty well with bullet wt.s from 45 to 62 but it shot 50 and 52 gr. bullets much better than lighter or heavier ones. The 50 gr. NBT Ultramax reloads outshot all the other 50 gr. factory loads. They aren't particularly hot but I shoot ground hogs in VA so I rarely shoot beyond 300 yrds. At those ranges they work fine and kill like lightening.
