I need loading data on the 9x23 Largo concerning
147 and 130 grain bullets. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Are you talking about the original 9x23 , the Bergmann-Bayard or Steyr ? The Bayard was loaded with a 135 gr at about 1100 fps and the Steyr a 115 at about 1150.It was used in the Bergmann-Bayard, Astra ,Star and Steyr pistols. As these are older pistols you might try starting with light 9x19 loads and working up till the guns function.Don't try to hot load them.

I bought some 9X23 Winchester ammo a while back, for components! I couldn't pass up the deal, they were $10.00/box on clearance and they only had three left so I took them all!
They are way to hot for the 9mm Bergmann rifle! I can't remember who I contacted (I think it was someone at Winchester) and was told that a good starting load is to go with the 38ACP data!
I still haven't gotten them loaded yet, but I do have them disassembled so they aren't inadvertantly fired in the rifle! The bullets are 125gr "silver colored" Hollow Points.
When I do load them, I'm going to start at the bottom of the 38ACP loading data!

Here you go for the Largo:

For real 9x23 just use 38 super max loads for about your starting point.

I finally loaded some test rounds for the 9mm Largo! Loaded them with 125gr HP!
I started with 5.2gr of Unique and ended up with 5.5 gr Unique! I went up in 1/10 grain increments!
Some of the primers pierced but that may be due to the added pressure of firing them in a rifle instead of a pistol!
I didn't have any extraction problems!
I used my 9mm Luger dies!

NOTE: I'm not sure what kind of powder was factory loaded in "these" 9X23mm Winchester cartridges, but it looked like Bullseye! I took it outside and burned it!

Hope this info helps you out.
Chuck
