Has anyone had a 22 jet in a rifle?
I have lots of jet brass, dies and a martini cadet action all just gathering dust.

I have a similar round in a 18" single shot rifle, one that I wildcatted up based on .357 Mag brass and .221 fireball dies shortened up-it's basically a jet improved.

It does pretty well on paper targets and gophers though!

Wolfram, did you use a 221 reamer, and just run it in short?
I had thought of doing just that.

Just Dreaming:

When I was young the occasional Martini Cadet was mention in .30/30... they were pretty well "dried up" by the time I was old enough to shop. Mr. Donaldson did the WASP on the .30/30 and later the ACE series using the .225 WCF brass. In my old age, the Jet is a bit light for my desires (dreams). And Mr. D did both in 6mm making deer at close range very doable. Just a thought, dream... Best of luck. Happy Traills.

Years ago a gunwriter from a magazine which I don't remember the name wildcatted the Jet by blowing out the case. He got some pretty good velocitys if I remember correctly. I don't know what type of rifle he used. His name I believe was Dan Cotterman and MAY have written for Guns and Ammo magazine. This was in the 60's or maybe the very early 70's. I think he named the round the .22 Cotterman Jet.
