What do you think of my new 6BR chaps? It was Built by The Cornish Barrel Bender himself Mike Norris of Brock & Norris. Stock - HS Precision Varmint which has been Devcon bedded to action and sprayed in metalic pink and lacquered. Divine! well it is a girls rifle. Scope - Leupold Mark 4, 4.5-14x50mm LR/T Illum TMR reticle. Scope Rail - EGW 20 min angle. Which allows me to get out to 1000yards yippee!!! Mounts - EGW Tac. Action - Blued and trued Remington 700 with re woked factory trigger to give a crisp 2.5lbs pull. Barrel - Lothar Walther with shallow floutes, 1 in 9 twist, throated for 90 grain Scenars. Bolt Handle - Badger Tacticle. Not a nasty metal handle that may chip my nail varnish or is cold in chilly weather. Moderator - ASE Ultra S5. Bi Pod - Harris HBLM-S 9x13 swivel with notched legs. Butler Creek Highlander Sling (when carried it reduces the felt weight of the rifle up to 50%) with QD swivels. Cheek Piece - Eagle with bullet holder and handy bag for carring my matching lipstick on the offside and sued covered neoprene on the nearside, cozy. 5 round group shot by Mike Norris, Gunsmith. Well done Mike lovely work. 3 round group shot by myself today. I am one happy bunny Thanks again Mike I love my Pink Perforator.

Very nice looking rifle! How well does the moderator work? Peter Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong;

Peter, I love my moderator nicknamed the drumstick. Recoil nominal and I hate wearing ear protectors but you don't really need them with this fella I just pull my hate down over my ears. My husband had one fitted to his rifle first and it took me a while to get used to the look. Being a chick looks mean a lot but I have always been pleased with it's performance Lisa

Good looking rifle and love the 6BR. Mine is built on same action but with a Shilen Matchgrade barrel and trigger worked to 1.5lbs. One of the best varmint rifles one can own. Your "Pinkie" would go good with my "Ol Yeller"-22BR Texas Verminator Verminator Predator Calls Pro Staff

Wow on the accuracy, nice stuff! The finish on the stock, while not my first color choice, looks great and might be a way to convince my wife to try shooting sometime! ________ "...And on the 8th day, God created beer so those crazy Canadians wouldn't take over the world..."

I like it as long as you don't plan to hide in the brush with it it is just fine. Not very good camo except for in town.

Ol Yeller is set at 6oz. If you do your part that gun will stuff em in the same hole. A fat PD doesn't have a chance. Texas Verminator Verminator Predator Calls Pro Staff

Funny enough Tx6BR not many PDs found in the Lake District in the UK but be assured that if I see one be it fat or otherwise it will get a lead implant. O and I will post a picture

That is a very neat looking rig & obviously shoots just as well as it looks - congratulations. I'm building a similar rig but on a Model 7 action to help keep it as portable as possible. What barrel legnth did you end up with? I'm curious to find out to see what velocity you are getting as I've just ordered a Lilja fluted stainless item finished at 22".

Cheers Fordnutter, The barrel is 25" and the average velocity is 2860 feet per second (measurement taken on a very cold frosty day -5) but still working on load development as I need a military range legal load as that’s the only place I can get out to 1000yards over here on a regular basis but the bambi load is sorted. Super nice rifle... I have one question as I'm sort of new to this. What are the parameters for a "Military range legal load". Just curious. Thanks in advance, James

That is a great looking and preforming rifle. Don't know how, for the life of me, the sling can reduce the weight by 50%. The only thing that I fault is the ss barrel and the blue steel action (couldn't they be the same?). Painting a rifle to match your nails is great but fashions change. Next time try black between the fall equinox and Easter and a white stock at other times (in that case, your nail polish colour won't matter). Again, nice looking shootin iron! Don't ask me what happened, when I left Viet Nam, we were winning.

G/F lf l can step in on this post l may be able to clarify the last couple of points.... Runtalones The MOD require that all ammunition used on their ranges is of solid "Ball" or "Match" type. They do not permit the use of any expanding bullet heads what so ever... Bloody silly to me when you think that a lot of Match ammo if of a "hollow point" construction and also that a .50BMG round will bounce of tank turrets at 2000yrds and feck off into heaven knows where to cause who knows what mischief.... RonE. l think what was implyed was that the "felt weight" was reduced by up to 50% due to the lack of inertia when steps are taken and the rifle bounces on the shoulder.... Hope this helps. D. ....

gumboot458 Have you tried stripping the unit and washing out the grease, then "Very" lightly apply a graphite based lube.... again very lightly l've seen this advised on some of the froums where evtreme cold is concerned. That should sort it mate, l would think you've got a gelling issue there....... As for the 1k$ problem.... sorry mate, but it looks like it's time you paid up!!
