Hey guys

Any of you fellow shoot any 6ppc? I have one in a Sako just for having some fun with at the range. I have tried some 75gr Vmax and some 70gr MK. I bought a box of 62 gr Beregers to try out. Vhit. powder is tough to come by where I live. Any other preferred powders? Thanks FS

I shoot a 6PPC with 1 in 14 twist
in a very light weight Cooper with Shilen barrel

As tight as anything from cold barrel to the third shot

Mine is a USA and no tight neck

V133 all the way

It's not for fun though
it will kill anything you point at ... dancing

I got into BR before 133 and I used H-322 with 68gr bullets these were tight neck rifles 27.5gr up to 29gr. Later I got some of the surplus IMR-8208 and I'm shooting that in my varmint rifles chamber for the 6ppc.

I have a couple of Sako A1s in 6PPC. Heavy barrel, target trigger - shoot really well.

Here is an article listing reloading options.

I have used the 6x45 for years..Its my only wildcat..I have used it on Deer, Antelope, plainsgame in Africa up to Kudu and on one Zebra...I used the 75 gr. GS Customs bullet and it worked like a charm, mostly complete penetration except on Zebra. Its my go to Rock Chuck gun in the springtime in Idahos Snake River Canyon..about 25 grs of H322 or 27 of H335 works with most bullets.

Faststeel One of my buddies picked up a Sako 6mm PPC this summer and I've been loading for it. Very good groups with the following: Norma cases CCI 400 primers 65 gr Hornady V-max and H322 powder.Suggest you start @ 22 grs and work up to max in your rifle. 24 grs is very accurate in this one. Col is 2.150 ". Hope that helps.

I just bought some 68gr Bergers to try out, I give them a try in 322 powder. Is buddy's rifle a sporter or the single shot model? FS

Sporter. As far as I can tell the only thing wrong with it is it belongs to him and not me.
