Anyone have some good loads for the 256 Win Mag and 75gr + bullets. These will be fired in a 26" 12 twist barrel. Thanks.

Accurate Arms shows a max of 17 grains of 1680 for a 75 grain bullet. Starting load is shown as 15 grains and I would cheerfully use 14 grains as a starting for 85-87 grain bullets. The surplus WC 680 works nicely with AA data.

What's your purpose? Getting expansion seems likely to be a problem, and the .256 seems to be a bit light for anything that needs more than a 75 grain bullet?

I'm a bit of a .25 cal nut and the .256 Win is the last one I haven't gotten to. Good luck with it!
