beerThe Savage 12vbss that was repaired ( Trigger) by Savage got its tryout today. The accuracy was there as it always was but the trigger has a far heavier pull. Don't know weather to gamble adjusting it or just get use to it. We shall see.

The new Ruger #1 in .223 Varmint shot 3/4" groups @ 50 yds. ( 2 different loads a total of perhaps 20 rounds). The trigger pull is harder than I like for a varmint rifle and the manual says don't try to adjust it. Frowner What is a mother to do?

The plus is a 22-250 Mauser with set back was tested with Blue Dot and SR7625 loads to eliminate hard bolt handle lift. It worked nicely nicely but the accuracy in the AB barrel was still terrible as it was before I succeeded in creating the set back. The data will be posted in reloading. coffeeroger

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Have you thought about just swapping the trigger to an aftermarket job? Say Timney, or Rifle Basix, etc.?

The Ruger shows promise with the heavy trigger shooting 3/4". Not too horrible. Same goes for the Ruger, how about swapping the trigger out for aftermarket?

Tough deal on the bolt set back. That's probably NOT going to be a "cheap fix".

Bummer.
