Because you plan to shoot the lighter (in todays scheme of things) bullets I would strongly suggest the .223. Had you said a 1 in 9 twist and the .22/250 AI I would have voted that way.

Between the two I would choose the 220 swift....instead of either I would choose the 22-243 middlestead.
