I'm thinking you have it just about covered and with almost exactly the same cartridges as I have.

My current list =

22LR because they work if you stay within 50 yards = Browning BL 22 & 16.5" T/C Contender carbine barrel
17HMR = Marlin 917VS
204 Ruger = 23" T/C Contender carbine bull barrel
223 = 18.6" barreled RA XCR-L & 21" factory taper T/C Contender carbine barrel
22-250 older 26" Ruger M77 tang safety & Sako 85 Grey Wolf
6mm-284 = made in Germany Voere long action was a 243 that I had rechambered
6.8 SPC = 18.6" RA XCR-L

and I'm thinking there aren't many here that have shot more gophers than I have... dancing

.17 Squirrel -- 15 grain bullet at 3750FPS ........sweet

Also doubles as an excellent whitetail load if the shots are kept to the headshot variety.

That's an irresponsible statement.

Your battery of rifles for your primary purpose is a pretty complete one. I'd agree with others that there might be a place for a .22 Hornet in there, though.

However, if your going to go bigger, everyone out to have a .30-06!

Everything I say is fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Ever shot prairie dogs with a 50 BMG? I have!!! hilbily

The funnest part is not actually shooting them, but shooting the mound to see how high you can launch them!!! shocker
