I have a Rem 597(17HMR) and a CZ 452(17HMR) and both rifles are accurate. I have found that my Rem 597 will shoot about 1/2" groups at 100 yards with Hornady and about 3" groups with CCI ammo. It loves Hornady and hates CCI. I have only shot about 150 rounds in my Remy and with some finer adjustments I think it can shoot better.

I shot my CZ the other day and it did okay for its first day. I had a old and worn down cheap scope on it and it shot about 1" groups at 100 yards with Hornady. It needs a trigger job and the barrel is touching the stock so it needs to be free floated. I think after some modifications it will shoot under 1/2" groups.

My buddy has a Marlin (17HMR) and it shoots about 1/2" groups with Hornady and 3/4 groups with CCI at 100 yards. He recently replaced the stock, bedded it, trigger job and it will likely shoot even better.
