Really its all about big business. Alliant approves Bluedot, and now sales for a variety of other powders drops so low that the company sells 1/2 the volume of poundage it would normally sell.
The company goes ahead and disappoves in the usage of this powder for a variety of lower velocity loads and maintains the status quo.

There is a theory for you? FS

I simply don't understand your post - and from the avalanche of responses you have received I assume no one else does either.

What really happened is that when re-shooting their load data after they were purchased by ATK Alliant found a handful of loads with BD which did not meet their pressure specs. They published a statement saying not to use their old data for the .357/125 and for the .41 Magnum. Shooters - being poor readers in general - took the statement to mean that suddenly BlueDot was not a safe powder for any load. Many went so far as to dissassemble loaded ammo with BD loads they had safely used for years. The fact that other ATK companies continued to publish BD data for the .357/125 and the .41 Magnum without warnings was lost on them.

Bottom line - a panic started out of a simple, very restricted statement. A mountain out of a molehill. No vast right-wing conspiracy. Roll Eyes

. . . and some people are throwing out half-eaten jars of peanut butter for fear that they might be contaminated with salmonella. On the whole, logic is lost on an illogically and disproportionately large cohort of the population.

As well as Al Frankenstein the laughable joke of Minnesota !.

Mass hysteria is sweeping the country like , well a plague of uncertainty .

On one hand they tote Hope and Change on the other hand down right stupidity !.

Been using Blue Dot for years with no loading data to support reduced loads .

Smart, NO , Careful, ABSOLUTELY !. Common sense approach ,from 45 years of reloading experience

pretty much tells me what does and what doesn't work .

The current financial problems we as a country face , can't simply be solved by printing money !.

Goes to show you Money can't buy everything !!!.
